What did you want to be when you grew up?:  A fireman.  But not one that actually went into the fires.  I wanted to be the one with the loudspeaker shouting orders and wearing the cool boots.

Why did you choose to be involved with WGM?: Well, I went to Global Cafe for a while, and really liked it, so I wanted to be a part of it.  When the media position opened up, I decided to apply so that I could offer my skills to help with a ministry that was important to me, and to many others as well.

What "luxury item" would you take with you on any mission trip?: I can't really think of anything... would my phone be considered a luxury item?  I guess if it worked overseas it would be a bit of a luxury, so I'll go with that.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?  Oh my...  China?  Bolivia?  Ukraine?  Malaysia?  I think the better question is "Where would I NOT go?!" and my answer would be nowhere.

What's the strangest thing you've ever eaten?:  Hot dogs.  They aren't even dog!!!  False advertising. tsk tsk

What words of advice would you give someone who is about to depart on
their first missions experience?:
First (not in order of importance, just in order of what came to my head) get yourself some good cross-cultural training!!!  Second, always remember that no matter where you're going you are not "bringing Christ" there (as many seem to believe and say).  Christ has been there, thought about there, been working there, etc. for, well, ever.  You go to participate in what God is doing.  When you get to the mission field look for where God is at work and jump on board.
